It was renumbered 1572 by the LNER in 1946, but soon became BRs 61572 in 1948. Withdrawn from Norwich Thorpe in September 1961, it was acquired by the Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway Society and moved to the nascent North Norfolk Railway at Sheringham in 1967, where, since completion of
