Rowland Hill R.U.A. (1919-1979), Fair Head, Ballycastle Tools Generally available in our MonkstownRowland Hill was born in Belfast in 1919. By the age of 16 he had three oil paintings hung at the annual show of the Ulster Academy or Arts. Encouraged by the older artist James Humber Craig, he went on to exhibit in London, Toronto and Dublin, where he exhibited 17 pieces between 1935 and 1966. He was elected an assocaite of the Royal Ulster Academy in 1964. Masterful use of colour and brush capture the changing skies and sea along the Antrim
