Mandan Star Shirt Sculpture A new reversible bracelet byacrylic on canvas, 60" x 50" Stars figure a lot in Indian art. The famous Comanche chief, Quanah Parker, painted stars on the roof of his traditional home in Oklahoma. Ive been playing around with the use of stars as well, covering Indian clothing with them in various settings. The shape of this figure is loosely based on a portrait of a Mandan Chief by Karl Bodmer (1808 1893). But this painting is strictly from my imagination.
