Jade - blue green 32 sugilite jewellery and approximately 454 grams Cherished by the Mayans, it was used to carve ceremonial tools, and burial masks. Countless artifacts have been discovered at most of the Mayan archeological sites in Guatemala, Belize and MexicoWhen the Spanish conquistadors arrived the location of the mine was hidden and then forgotten under the dense jungle floor! It is in fact Jadeite like the Jade from Myanmar and very prized pieces are translucent.
