This is a very nice example of a genuine WWII Front Seam Fixed Bale M1 Helmet made by McCord Radiator, with a Westinghouse "high pressure" liner. At some point during or just after the war it was used by the U. S. Navy as an MP helmet, and the shell was painted white, with a red MP at the front, with star above and a line below. This is a known pattern used by the U. S. Navy. There also is what looks like a laundry
