Germany, Luftwaffe. A Mechanic's Overseas Field Cap, Maker-Marked And Owner-Attributed Newly Listed and with “DRL” in script(Luftwaffe Schiffchen fr Mechaniker). A well preserved Luftwaffe mechanics overseas field cap, constructed of black herringbone twill (HBT) cotton blended cloth. The cap is fully surrounded by fold down side walls with a downward slope toward the front. Stitched onto the peak is an insignia consisting of a black wool backer bearing a machine embroidered silver grey Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, measuring 72 mm (w) x 34 mm (h). The
