This nice example features a 7½” barrel and all matching serial numbers of 109108 indicating manufacture in 1861 and bears the bears on the top of the barrel:

which also allowed relatively rapid installation of a silencer for covert operations

and the receiver is marked P

This is a genuine WWII issue German Aluminum Model 1931 Canteen, which has been turned into a wonderful named example of Russian Front Trench art! It is marked DMN43 on the neck and cap, indicating 1943 manufacture by Deutsche Metallwerke in Neustadt an der Weinstrae. This canteen was carefully designed, and is all hand engraved, with a lovely Fallschirmjger (Paratrooper) emblem in the middle, which is very well executed.
