This is an Austrian M1854 Lorenz Percussion musket, most probably imported for use in the Civil War. After that, it was then cut to half stock for civilian use. This musket features a round to octagonal 28 inch barrel, with faded proof marks and some numbers stamped near the breech. It also features iron mounts, including a "Jaeger" style trigger guard, with a nice cheek rest on the left side of the butt stock. The
