This is a wonderful condition second year of production Model 1913 Cavalry Saber

with some darkening throughout

The rear sight appears to have been removed and the screw holes properly plugged when the adjustable tang sight was fitted

This example has unfortunately lost the rear sight completely

experience has shown that it can drop to an efficiency between 2 and 25% in case of less than optimal conditions and lack of skill from the operator

This is a very good & extremely scarce example of the Mauser Model 1871 Sawback rifle bayonet with brass hilt, complete with the original brass fitted leather scabbard. The bayonet is in good condition, and is marked on the rear of the blade with an 1874 year as well as the usual acceptance marks. These bayonets are nearly impossible to find with a Sawback, making this a very rare offering. The steel blade is 18 long
