Baden. A Military Karl Friedrich Merit Order In Gold, Knight, By Lemaitre, C.1875 Auction along with Romanian State mint(Militr Karl Friedrich Verdienstorden). Instituted 1805. Of French manufacture, in Gold and with enamels, measuring 25. 5 mm (w) x 43. 5 mm (h including crown suspension), with small period repair below the crown, enamels with small contact marks restoration, in generally very fine condition, with period ribbon; in fitted case of issue, marked Lemaitre, Paris, circa 1870 80 (case showing age and use, but very rare period case).
