Instituted in 1219 by King Valdemar II, and re instituted by King Christian V in 1671. Christian VIII Issue. A bronze gilt cast collar composed of 72 double sided links, 36 portray crosses composed of white enamel with a red wax like material around the edges, alternating between 18 crowned W cyphers for King Valdemar II and 18 crowned C cyphers for King Christian V in alternating directions, each link demonstrates hand engraved
