This is an 11 inch cut section of an original Imperial German WWI period wooden propeller made by Wotan. Original WOTAN maker tag still attached. The piece was cut as a remembrance, most probably by the pilot himself. Wotan was a recognized propeller maker and their props were used on various World War aircraft including the Fokker D. VII. The Fokker D. VII was a German World War I fighter aircraft designed by Reinhold
