A Cased Pontifical Equestrian Order of St. Gregory the Great, for Civil Merit, in 18kt Gold, by Vincent Mayer’s Sons, c. 1880 consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac Ontario on March 13(Ordine Equestre di San Gregorio Magno). Instituted September 1st, 1831. In 18kt Yellow Gold, consisting of a Maltese Cross with ball finials, the obverse with a central blue enameled circular disc bearing the leftward facing bust of St. Gregory in Gold, surrounded by a Golden ring inscribed Gregorius Magnus in capitalized lettering, the reverse with a similar central blue enameled circular disc inscribed Pro Deo et Principe (For God and Ruler) in
