Polished Bauxite slab BAU124 Wyloo agate 305 mm x 125 mmBAU124. Bauxite (laterite) slab, cut and polished on one side. Dimensions at widest points approximately 90 mm x 70 mm x 11 mm thick. Weighs 149 grams. Bauxite is the main raw material used in the commercial production of aluminium. Large reserves of this stone occur in Western Australia. This specimen is from east of the Darling Ranges just outside the city of Perth.
