This is a very nice Type F 1 Crew Oxygen tank, as used on the B 17, B 24, and possibly other bombers. It is marked BREATHING OXYGEN on one end, and is painted the correct yellow color used on these tanks. They were in service for many years, so like this example most we see are either missing all of their paint, or have been painted over several times. In the days of modern jet travel, many forget that during WWII
