La Rioja Alta, Rioja, Vina Ardanza, Reserva 2004 White which is now converting to94 CellarTracker Drank this with Spanish tapas and it was incredible. Had opened another bottle about 6 months ago that was spoiled, so was fearful this one was too, but it was the best wine of the night by far. All of the notes you expect from a great Rioja were there, and perfectly balanced. The age had tamed the American oak to where it was still noticeable, but not overpowering, and secondary notes of leather and tobacco rounded things out.
