This is a wonderful flintlock pistol featuring a Banana shaped lock engraved with foliage in scrolls and the maker's name STARBUS of AMSTERDAM. Pieter Starbus worked from 1680 until 1724 who also had establishments in Stockholm, Sweden and in St. Petersburg, Russia. A gun making family of three generations staring in 1648 that lasted until 1765. Overall length is 20 1 2 inches with a 12 1 2 inch polished steel
