This is a phenomenal M1 helmet that has certainly remained in its current state since the end of World War II. The leather chinstrap is affixed to the front brim of the helmet and has been in that position for decades, so we are unable to remove the liner to check the interior. It is very difficult to find helmets in this untouched condition, so we advise keeping it exactly as is to preserve it in its current state.
