The subject is portrayed in muted colour, and wearing an elaborate pearl necklace which extends into her hair. The portrait is surrounded by a gilt border integrated into the paper, and the Empress is situated above her name and title in both German and Czech. The obverse also bears an artists name of F. PLANCK, and a printers mark of A. PLANCK & SOHN, WIEN. It is
