The liner is correct "high pressure" WWII issue and stamped with a W for the Westinghouse Electric Co Manufactured in Pittsburgh

the paint appears to us to be period and it is well worth the investment if only for a genuine example of an NVA pith helmet

except in a few glorious spots

The die struck zinc alloy body unfortunately has lost almost all of the original silvering, which is quite common. It presently is only visible around the edges.
