Now this is something we have not seen before! This is a great matching marked pair of knee pads, which were required equipment for German Luftwaffe Fallschirmjger Paratroopers during WWII. Due to the design of the German parachutes, troops had to land on their knees and hands, thus requiring extra protection to prevent injuries. The knee pads were secured over the uniform using two adjustable elastic
