Original British WWII Supermarine Spitfire Aircraft Bakelite MkII Cockpit Lamp 5C/366 with Box - RARE Hand Select:No it was part of theOriginal Item: Very rare unissued lighthouse type cylindrical cockpit lamps of bakelite and metal construction. Fully marked "A. M." (Air Ministry) and Crown, "Ref. No. 5c 366 COCKPIT LAMP MkII". This rare later version has a bakelite body surrounding a rotating metal lamp housing, with a movable metal shutter with brass fittings. The top is slightly domed with the entire edge being knurled. This made it much easier to aim and use with gloved hands.
