Germany, HJ. A 1939 National Trade Competition Victor’s Badge, Bronze Grade, by Ferdinand Wagner Auction measuring 248 mm (w) x(Ehrenzeichen Kreissieger im Reichsberufswettkampf 1939). Constructed of bronze with multi coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a circular laurel wreath, surrounding a white enameled disc overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a cogwheel which is in turn defaced by an enameled HJ insignia, flanked by a date of 1939 and circumscribed by an inscription of KREISSIEGER, the reverse with a barrel hinge and tapering vertical pinback meeting a
