This is a very good example of the scarce OSS Drop Knife, 1st pattern. These knives were manufactured inexpensively and quickly during WWII, and were intended to be dropped from airplanes behind enemy lines to provide weapons for resistance fighters. This OSS Drop Knife is in very good condition, and looks to have been made from a trapdoor bayonet that had seen service and wear. The original finish is worn, with
