AMGALA 001 - Mineral silver ore specimen drilled and strung to highlightMined from: Western Sahara, North Africa Description: This Martian shergottite, designated AMGALA 001, was recovered in 2022 from the Western Sahara and represents a rare piece of basaltic rock ejected from the surface of Mars. Classified as an olivine phyric shergottite, it contains visible olivine crystals set within a finer grained igneous matrix, formed from volcanic activity on Mars. These meteorites are thought to have been launched from the
