Morocco, Spanish Protectorate. An Order of Mehdauia, Commander’s Star, by Cravanzola Province of China the obverse trimmed with white(Wissam al Mahdawiya). Instituted in 1926. Four piece construction, in silver gilt with bluish green, ultramarine blue, white and yellow enamels, reverse offers a vertical pinback with dual stays, central cartouche of CRAVANZOLA, marked with Italian silversmith 66 and TO city mark, with 800 silver fineness mark, measuring 66. 5 mm (w) x 76. 4 mm (h), weighs 70. 1 grams, enamels intact, lovely patina, better than extremely fine.
